Midterm elections

2014 Midterm Elections Product

A destination landing page was created for USA TODAY's 2014 Midterm Elections. The product was the first of its kind to span mobile, tablet and desktop and featured projections for the Senate, House, and Governor races. It later became the foundation for the 2016 Elections.

Longform Storytelling Product

With Gannett newsroom demand for an in-depth, immersive storytelling tool, a CMS-powered longform product was developed. The template enabled journalists to quickly generate longform content. I was responsible for the feature set, rollout and training for 3,500 journalists.

Ghost Factories Investigation

A 14-month newsroom investigation led by Alison Young revealed government regulators did little to protect the public from lead "smelter" factories that operated in the U.S. from the 1930s to 1960s. The investigation prompted the EPA to reexamine all 460 former factory sites for health hazards.

Using AKO and Google Connect authentication, My.Army.Mil was the first customizable website of its kind across all military branches in the Department of Defense. A marketing page was set up to inform users of the website's capabilities .
